Before teaming up with Michael, Martin Pope ran his independent company for ten years, and he has produced award winning films including TOUCH OF PINK, THE HEART OF ME (starring Paul Bettany, Helena Bonham Carter and Olivia Williams), LAWLESS HEART (starring Bill Nighy), THE COTTAGE (starring Andy Serkis and Reece Shearsmith) and THE TURN OF THE SCREW (starring Colin Firth and Jodhi May). Previously his producing credits at BBC Films include John Madden's MEAT and John Schlesinger's BAFTA award winning film of Alan Bennett's A QUESTION OF ATTRIBUTION.
Before collaborating with Martin, Michael Rose headed up the feature film division of UK animation studio Aardman. He was executive producer of hit feature films CHICKEN RUN and the Oscar winning WALLACE & GROMIT: CURSE OF THE WERERABBIT. He also produced Nick Park's Oscar winning Wallace & Gromit short, A CLOSE SHAVE, and produced two other Oscar nominated shorts and won two BAFTAS. Previously, Michael was a programme buyer for Channel Four Television, and started his career programming cinemas in Plymouth and Bristol.
Joining Magic Light Pictures in 2006, Daryl began his career as an actor. Graduating from The Welsh College of Music and Drama he worked across film, theatre and television, both in the UK and Australia, before taking a central role in the BBC's longest running soap. Deciding to shift focus behind the camera he worked in both development and production, including a period at the UK Film Council's Development Fund. Daryl is now an associate producer on Magic Light productions as well as heading up brand management, marketing and the Gruffalo merchandising programme.
After graduating from Lincoln University in 2005 with a BA Hons in Media Production, Barney first joined the filmmaking community in Nottingham. Working on a number of projects as part of EM Media's successful DV Shorts programme he then moved into feature film production. In 2008 Barney joined Magic Light Pictures as company coordinator where he is responsible for aspects of packaging, production and delivery of Magic Light's projects.
